The members of the Cloudbow species all have cloudy heads and stretchy, ribbon-like limbs. Often, Cloudbows will stretch, puff up, and change colors depending on their current emotions and actions. The characters are part of an upcoming project of mine, which is currently in the works.
The first Cloudbow I designed was Skip. I wanted to develop a cloud character with a flexible design and malleable proportions, but struggled to find the right look. Eventually, after many iterations, I sketched a suitable design that captured my goals with the character.
Skip's design acted as the basis for the rest of the characters, so their design process went smoother overall. The characters are connected through key attributes, but have notable differences that distinguish them from one another.
