OvO is a dopey little robot who does not follow instructions well. He acts as if he is a guinea pig running around its enclosure. However, OvO has a big heart and loves attention, especially from those who work at the factory he lives in.
With OvO's design, I wanted to create a simple, cute character that could work as both a rigged 3D model and a 3D print. This proved to be a design challenge for me, but I ultimately succeeded in my goal. The rigged 3D modeling allowed me to fully animate the character as I imagine he would move in the real world. The 3D print accomplished this as well with the spinnable wheel. I intend to paint the 3D print in the future.
